I believe wedding photography is more than just pretty photos of your bouquet or that first kiss you share as husband and wife, I believe wedding photography is the start of your legacy, the story you are going to tell your great grandchild and I want to capture that for you!
I’m a beach lover by nature. It probably comes from growing up in SoCal, toes firmly planted in the sand. I believe that Sundays should be spent in the backyard, surrounded by family. When I say family, I’m also referencing friends; friends, family, and friends that are like family. If you can’t find me floating in a pool with a Pina colada, I’m at Disneyland. If I’m at Disneyland, I definitely have a red velvet cake pop in hand. I wouldn’t call myself a hoarder of things, but I am a hoarder of nostalgic moments in the form of concert ticket stubs and hand written notes. I believe that you can observe Wine O’Clock like you can Daylight Savings. It’s timed by the seasons...and my mood. The day chocolate and peanut butter were married should be treated like an actual holiday. I’m forever stuck between my favorite sweet treat, and joining my husband at the gym. Car dancing to Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake brings out a side of me only few get to witness. If you’re one of those that have seen this, I want to equally apologize and say you're welcome. I am fluent in sign language and believe that learning a second language can only help you bring more joy to the world. I’m secretly fantastic at building Lego castles, thanks to my daughter. I believe in three kisses hello, three kisses good-bye, and all the hugs you can handle. I do what I do because I believe in building a legacy for the nostalgic bride.

I could make Jaime’s review about 10 pages long all full of how amazing she is. What is so important to know is Jaime nailed it! I think the images speak for themselves!! Not only are we in love with our wedding photos, but the entire JDP Bride experience. She sure knows how to spoil her couples! We received countless gifts and kind notes which proved time and time again how thoughtful she is. On the wedding day, it never seemed like we were rushed through anything to get the right photos. Jaime did both our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures. I think one of Jaime's best qualities is how personable and down to earth she is. Before meeting with Jaime, my fiancé and I met with several other photographers who were either flat out arrogant or just seemed uninterested. My husband has always had a hard time smiling in front of the camera so I knew we had to find a photographer that he felt comfortable with. Jaime's friendliness totally won him over. the process
FROM booking to premiere party
If you think about it you spend more time with your photographer on your wedding day then you do your fiance and or family, this is why I believe it is soooo important to not only get to know your photographer and vice versa but to love your photographer and make sure you connect. I encourage all my couples to have an engagement session with me which is why it is included in all my collections. This is a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera, comfortable with each other and have some fun! I will send you emails along the way to check in with you, recommend suggestions for vendors or anything else you may need help with. After all I do this 20-30 times a year and have some insider info on how to make your day go off without a hitch. A few weeks before your wedding I will send you two questionnaires, one that will have a template for family photos to ensure we capture all the important combos for you and one about your day that will help me customize your timeline!
Those are just a few things that I will help you with along the way. But my favorite part besides capturing your legacy is showing you the final product! About 6 weeks after your wedding I will invite you and your families into my studio to show you all the photos I have capture from your legacy while sipping champagne and reliving your day! This is also a great opportunity to show you and your family members how your digital online gallery works and to select the choices for your album cover and paper!

I am a firm believer that all photographs should be printed and displayed. I envision the tiny fingers of your granddaughter looking through your album and asking about your wedding day. I want that silver frame with a photo inside to sit on your living room table and bare witness to all of lifes hard moments, and the good moments!

A little more information below about where, when and how to schedule your engagement session and what to expect!
I recommend scheduling your engagement session 6-8 months before your wedding day, this ensures time for your premiere party, time to design your save the dates and get them mailed and a time cushion in case we have to reschedule due to the three days a year it rains in SoCal (hehe). The location is entirely up to you two! I can recommend different location I love based on what type of background you are looking for, example beach, urban, trees/greenery etc. Some locations do require permits but I will give you the heads up before to decide if you want to move forward with said location!
Once we schedule your engagement session I will connect you with my hair and makeup team to get you scheduled for that, usually about 3 hours before our start time. Most of my brides take the day off so they can have a good lunch and relax before their shoot, your fiance can join you or they can meet you at the location we have choosen. I will also send you an email with ideas for outfits and other special notes to be aware of!
How much is your retainer and when is payment due?
To reserve your date a $1750 non refundable retainer is due at booking, the remaining balance is split into two payments one 90 days before and one 30 days before your wedding date.

Do we get the high resolution digitals? Do you give us our raw images?
Yes you and your family/friends will be able to get all the high resolution digitals available to download in your gallery all included with your collection price. No I do not give out the raw images I only give my clients retouched/edited photographs.

We don't need an engagement session because we already did one can we swap that for something else?
I do encourage you to still do an engagement session with me but if timing or other factors are involved, I would be more than happy to offer you one more hour of coverage on your wedding day!

Should we do a first look? What is the benefit?
I highly recommend doing a first look for a few reasons!
1. Helps you both with your wedding day nerves because you get to see each other beforehand and we know how well you two can calm each other down.
2. Less time after the ceremony means more time at cocktail hour with your guests, more time for romantic sunset portraits and more time for just the two of you!
3. We can capture sooo many portraits before the ceremony when your makeup and hair are the most fresh!
